Why Thunder Ridge for the Finale?
The Rolling Stones’ addition of Thunder Ridge was a last-minute decision. Despite its modest size compared to other venues on the tour, the band’s appearance was rooted in a personal connection. Keyboardist Chuck Leavell has a long-standing friendship with Bass Pro Shops President Johnny Morris, dating back to a memorable fishing trip 20 years ago. Morris called in a favor from Leavell to cap off Thunder Ridge’s inaugural season with the Stones’ iconic presence.
This legendary night marked a high note for rock fans in the Ozarks, blending music, memories, and a personal touch that made it truly special.
