The Beatles Contract for Their Famed 1964 North American Tour Goes to Auction for Whopping Sum

While the music industry produced numerous iconic bands and singers over the years, none compared to the Beatles. Gaining international fame, the group kicked off an era known as “Beatlemania.” With the entire world captivated by the band, the Beatles sold a staggering 600 million albums worldwide. Throughout their time in the spotlight, the Beatles released a dozen studio albums and are considered the best-selling music act of all time. And with many collectors wanting to own a piece of the band’s history, it appears the signed contracts from their 1964 North American Concert Tour will head to auction for a staggering amount.

Celebrating the 60th anniversary of the legendary tour, Gottahaverockandroll.com shared their excitement to offer fans a rare item in the band’s collection. The collection, signed by manager Brian Epstein, comes with 48 contracts and other correspondence surrounding the tour. And for those looking to own a piece of history, estimates suggest the collection will sell for over $400,000.

While heartbreak followed the Beatles throughout the years, their contributions to music continue to entertain new generations of fans. Even Snoop Dogg is a fan of the Beatles. Having spent the last few weeks promoting the 2024 Paris Olympic Games, the rapper explained meeting Paul McCartney for the first time with Complex. “I did a little concert for somebody in Hollywood. Paul McCartney was there. I never met him before, but I’m a f–king fan of The Beatles. I know Jimmy [Iovine] know him, I know Dre know him. I’m in the back smoking and they’re like, ‘Sir Paul would like to meet you.’ I’m like, ‘Oh for real? Hold on.’”

Not wanting to miss the opportunity, Snoop Dogg jumped at the chance as he added, “I put the blunt out, cuz walk in the room like, ‘Don’t put that down!’ He give me a hug and he meet me and I’m like, ‘F–k, Paul McCartney know who the f–k Snoop Dogg is!’ This is Paul McCartney, he knows who I am. That’s the experience I love is when the people you respect, respect you.”

With a little over two days left on the auction, the bidding is sure to heat up as the clock winds down.
